Striped Skirt Six Ways

I should really call this post Raiding my friends` closets because the majority of these tops were given to me after my friendsLyndsay and Natalie cleaned out their closets. As I sorted through a bag, I remembered this new striped skirt I had and immediately started pairing it with tops. It seemed like everything I tried on just worked! Like I mentioned in mySpring Picks post, this skirtis a total closet workhouse. It can be dressed up or down, and works for all seasons. Although I`m so relieved it`s finally spring, I do look forward to incorporating it into my fall/winter wardrobe with some tights and boots. Herearesixways I style it for spring  from casual to dressy.
Casual  Pair it with a neutral sequined sweatshirt, button earrings, a top knot and t-strap sandals. This outfit is great for running errands or hanging out in the backyard playing with the kids. I love that embellished sweatshirts are in style because they look pretty, but are also very comfortable!

Casual  A bright t-shirt, floral scarf, and casual brown boots keep this outfit cute and comfortable.

Casual  I love the combo of this purple blouse with the navy skirt. Leave it untucked for a more casual look, paired with brown boots and a fun necklace.

Dressy This nautical outfit is perfect for the warmer weather. The red jacket is the only thing I own from Anthropologie, and because of that I just keep holding on to it! I`m excited to have something fun and new to wear it with this year. You can`t really tell, but the buttons even have anchors on them which adds to the nautical feel. The red wedges are also special to me because my mom bought them for me to wear to the temple for the first time before I got married. Do you ever have things in your closet you hold on to because of their value or for sentimental reasons? I`ve been really trying to let go of a lot of old clothes, but I`m glad I`ve kept both of these.

Jacket  Anthropologie (old), Wedges  Naturalizer (old)
Dressy I wasn`t sure if this jacket would work, but it ended up being my favorite combination! I can see myself wearing this a lot. I love the ruffles and the olive green color (which is great for redheads!). I paired it with some light grey booties. Even though this outfit has a lot of neutrals, it has some great texture with the ruffles and suede booties.

Dressy I often hesitate when it comes to beige tops because of my skin tone. However, the bright red clutch provides some color and works great with the navy skirt. I`d definitely wear this outfit on a date or to a work dinner with my husband.

I`ve still got a few other tops I`ll be trying out with this skirt. I think a mustard yellow, bright green or lavender would all look great! And if you`re feeling adventurous, try out some pattern mixing!

Do you have an item in your closet you can pair with lots of different things?
